Seth J. Bloom, Esq. is a seasoned criminal defense attorney based in New Orleans with over two decades of experience representing clients in DWI, municipal, misdemeanor, and felony cases throughout Louisiana. Since founding his practice in 2004, Seth has appeared in hundreds of jury and bench trials, primarily in Orleans Parish, earning a reputation for his sharp courtroom advocacy and client-centered approach.

Seth’s criminal defense work covers the full range of charges, from alcohol-related offenses and traffic violations to complex felony cases. His extensive courtroom experience has given him a deep understanding of Louisiana’s criminal justice system and how to effectively protect his clients’ rights at every stage of the process.

In 2007, Seth enhanced his trial expertise by attending the National Criminal Defense College (NCDC), hosted by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). This advanced training refined his litigation strategies and reinforced his lifelong commitment to defending the accused. For many years, his practice was devoted almost exclusively to criminal defense, a foundation that continues to shape his work today.

Beyond his individual representation of clients, Seth has been an active leader in the New Orleans legal and civic community. He founded Bloom Legal in 2004 and guided the firm through the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, helping residents navigate legal challenges during the city’s recovery. From 2008 to 2016, Seth served on the Orleans Parish School Board, including a term as President (2014–2016). He has also held leadership roles on several civic and cultural boards across New Orleans.
